For 2023, we put the Death Penalty on a little bit of a diet, stripping down over 10 pounds of mass.  That is something that will really add up when you are trying to install this beast, as well as the multi sub builds that require numerous DP’s.  Don’t worry, we didn’t lose anything when it comes to performance with that trim down, quite the opposite.  With a major motor redesign, we gained some serious motor force over the previous version.  This helped with greater power handling, as we are bumping the Death Penalty up to 2,500 watts rms!

The new, 8-layer, 3” Reserve coil was an essential piece to help aid in that noticeable power handling jump.  That beefcake of a voice coil, it can really soak up serious power, while retaining the same great overall sound that people have come to love from the Death Penalty.  Right there, that is what makes the IA DP such a strong choice and why it has been so popular for so many years.  Balanced performance, for even the most demanding of audio install needs.  

Our Death Penalty is customizable as before, with the optional extra spiders for those who need a little more mechanical power handling.  A reinforced with Kevlar, triple joint, to aid in extreme abuse, as well as 8 gauge direct connect leads to help with wiring and power flow.
